You’ve probably heard the news by now: President Obama signed the first-time homebuyer $8,000 tax credit extension into law on Friday afternoon. Now you don’t have to hit yourself over the head for not having a house ready to close before November 30!
But wait, there’s more…
The law also includes a brand new tax credit program for existing homeowners. If you’ve owned a home for 5 out of the last 8 years, and you’re looking to buy another property, you may be eligible for a $6,500 tax credit.
